2021年に創設したJWLI Scholarshipは、国際社会の担い手であり才能あふれた移民難民の背景を持つ女性に、平等な高等教育を与えるための奨学金プログラムです。多文化、多言語という背景から、彼女たちが今後の日本社会において重要な役割を担うと確信し作られました。このプログラムでは返済義務なしの給付型奨学金に加え、学生生活や就職へのサポートを提供しています。私たちの2024年の取り組みと成果をまとめた報告書を下記よりご覧ください。

The JWLI Scholarship was created in 2021 with a vision to provide women immigrants and refugees in Japan with equal opportunity for higher education. It is built on a belief that these individuals will play an important role in shaping the future of Japan. This scholarship offers tuition, living stipends as well as non-financial support. JWLI Scholarship × Link Theory Japan: 「Closet for Needs」プログラムからのご支援報告

2021年に創設したJWLI Scholarshipは、国際社会の担い手であり才能あふれた移民・難民の背景を持つ女性のための奨学金制度です。

今年6月にリンク・セオリー・ジャパンより、JWLI Scholarshipスカラー2名に「Closet for Needs」プログラムを通じてスーツをご寄贈いただきました。「Closet for Needs」は、リンク・セオリー・ジャパンが運営する衣服が必要な方々を支援する取り組みです。今回、卒業を控えたスカラーたちは、この訪問を通じて、自信を持って社会に踏み出す準備を整えました。

このような貴重な機会を提供してくださったリンク・セオリー・ジャパンに、心より感謝申し上げます。

JWLI Scholarship, launched in 2021, aims to protect human rights of women immigrants and refugees in Japan by offering equal opportunity to access to higher education with financial assistance and support services.

During our visit to Link Theory Japan in June, two JWLI Scholarship scholars nearing graduation received suits through the “Closet for Needs” program. “Closet for Needs” is a program, operated by Link Theory Japan, that provides clothing to those in need, empowering young individuals as they prepare to enter the professional world. The scholars, now ready to take their next steps with confidence, were greatly encouraged by this generous support.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Link Theory Japan for making this invaluable opportunity possible.

JWLIスカラシップ設立 – 移民・難民の背景を持つ若者向け奨学金プログラム

JWLIエコシステム創設者　厚子・東光・フィッシュは、国際社会の担い手であり才能あふれた若い移民難民の背景を持つ方のための奨学金プログラム「JWLIスカラシップ」を日本において創設しました。彼女たち・彼らは多文化、多言語という背景から、今後の日本社会において重要な役割を担うと確信しています。

様々な支援活動・経験を有するJWLI卒業生らとの対話を通じ、「JWLIスカラシップ」の構想が生まれました。「JWLIスカラシップ」は大学・専門学校入学予定である移民・難民の若者に、最大4年間の入学金・学費・生活費を含む返済義務なしの給付型奨学金を提供します。

この度秋入試枠にて2名の奨学生が決定しました。2022年度入学者については、冬入試枠で残り2名が選出される予定です。なお、一般公募は行っておらず、アルムナイからの推薦者のみとしています。続きを読む。

JWLI Ecosystem founder Atsuko Fish established the JWLI Scholarship for immigrants and refugees in Japan. The JWLI Scholarship aims to foster leaders for a diverse Japan. Its goal is beyond a university diploma. The program honors the contributions of immigrants and refugees to Japan and celebrates their unique, multi-cultural potentials and talents. These individuals will not only bring diversity to university campuses, but also play an important role in transforming Japan to be more economically competitive, innovative, and compassionate. The JWLI Scholarship is unique and offered to those who are already based in Japan. The JWLI Scholarship offers a full tuition for four years with an annual living stipend.
