Raised across the United States, Japan, and Germany, Nana joined the founding team of WELgee after working on local industry revitalization in rural Hokkaido. At WELgee, she launched career development and job placement programs for refugees living in Japan, connecting them with companies as global talent and pioneering a model for stabilizing legal status through employment. In 2025, she co-founded Mobility for Humanity, where she now builds Asia’s first transnational employment pathways for refugees, training displaced talent in developing countries and linking them with rural industries and communities in Japan.
