ABOUT

Khadija Harunari is a Rohingya refugee leader and the founder of Harmony Sisters Network, a refugee-led organization established in 2020. Drawing on her own experience of displacement and integration in Japan, she works to support refugee and migrant women and children through education, language learning, leadership development, and community engagement.
Through partnerships with schools, universities, local governments, and civil society organizations, she creates opportunities for women and young people to build skills, strengthen social connections, and participate actively in society. Her work focuses on reducing isolation, empowering women as leaders, and fostering inclusive communities where people from diverse backgrounds can thrive.
Khadija is also an advocate for refugee inclusion and meaningful participation, regularly speaking at universities, conferences, and international forums to promote refugee-led solutions and social cohesion.
